Photographed Hugo’s specimens in color and black and white. We were interested in the milk latex on account of its possible use as a rubber plant.
Hugo proposed a hike in the forest so we went in some distance with Mr. de Grijp. I took photographs of several trees which Hugo wished to record. The forest was beautiful with many ebony trees and other interesting things. On our return I had just time to take a bath in the cool spring before we started back in the launch at about 11. My scratches seemed to be healing well and I do not think will give trouble.
Hugo and I said good bye to Mr. de Grijp and made the hour’s trip to Poso lying in the sun with only shorts on.
As we were landing my diary fell into the water which accounts for its present condition.
I started to develop our dozen rolls of films almost at once and did four. They were all good and I am getting excellent results with David’s Rolleiflex.
Hugo went over to see the Resident and to arrange about getting the launch for our trip to Parigi on Monday.
It was certainly good to get back to a comfortable bed.
