Hugo received a telegram from Daan that he would give Wongso a job at 10 guilders a months. He has done well and Hugo learned a lot of Malay from him.
With the help of a fan the films almost dried in time and the last one still slightly damp went into silica gel & on to the boat.
We set sail at 4:30 which consisted in starting the engines. It was good to be on the boat again after 7 weeks absence. Hugo took Fant’s place as my cabin mate.
We spent the afternoon and evening in comparing experiences. It was interesting that they all found so much that was supremely attractive in Bali and in no sense disappointing, as I have had the idea that Bali must have been considerably spoiled through worldwide publicity.
